Wickham Solid Wood Studio was awarded “Best Newcomer 2012″ at the Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation’s “Business Excellence Awards” in Poughkeepsie! We were thrilled to have our set of three black walnut nesting stools, featuring sliding dovetail joinery, selected for the live auction at the annual summer fundraiser at Manitoga/The Russel Wright Design Center in Garrison, New York.
Interior designer Chuck Burleigh asked us to create a sculptural king-sized bed and end table for the master bedroom he designed at the Cold Spring Arts “Artful Living” designer show house. A great collaboration with artists Jaanika Peerna, Ada Cruz, Kaija Korpijaakko and Julie Tooth.
One of our proudest moments yet: Wickham Solid Wood Studio will be participating in the relaunch of ZONA! This pioneering home store blossomed in SoHo in NYC in the ’80s and ’90s and they are re-inventing themselves with a “pop-up” store in Tribeca for the 2012 holidays. We will have gifts of all shapes and sizes on display. Come visit!
